“For two years a man named Bimal Tapno (above & below) suffered from a mental derangement. His parents had taken him to the hospital for treatment, but his condition remained. They then took Bimal to a better-equipped hospital for more advanced treatment, but the result was the same. Then on two occasions his parents brought Bimal to one of our house churches where our Elijah Challenge workers ministered to him in the name of our Messiah Jesus. Bimal’s mind was then miraculously restored. After that he believed and accepted Jesus as his only Lord and Savior.”

“For 13 years a woman named Jay Kumari (below) suffered from severe asthma. From time to time the suffering would be unbearable. Because she had difficulty breathing, she had to be admitted to the hospital. But even after spending so much money on medical treatment, Jay was not well. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to her in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus. Jay was miraculously healed from the tormenting asthma and could breathe normally. After both Jay and her husband put their faith in Jesus Christ as their only Lord and Savior.”

“For a long time Ranjita (below) had been under demonic attack. He would get sick for a few days, and then consult with the doctor. But each time his medical report would show no abnormality. After a few months Ranjit could no longer eat and became very ill. At night he would have very frightening nightmares. He contacted a sorcerer for help in getting rid of the attacks, but sorcerer could not do anything for him. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to Ranjit in the mighty name of our Messiah Jesus, and he was totally delivered from the demonic attacks. Ranjit then believed and accepted Jesus Christ.”

“A woman named Rekha Harijan (below) was demon-possessed. She would scream and shout and throw things around the house. Her husband took her the temple priest. He tried to deliver her from the demon, but failed. Our Elijah Challenge workers then came and commanded the demon to leave in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The demon left, and Rekha was totally set free. After that both she and her husband accepted Jesus Christ.”

“For two years a young mother named Sulochana Dehuri (below) suffered from arthritis. She had severe pain in her right leg, rendering her unable to put on her sandal. She had seen a doctor and been treated with prescription medication, but there was no change. Finally our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to her in Jesus’ wondrous name. Sulochana was miraculously healed from the arthritis and accompanying pain. Along with her family, she accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.”

The Elijah Challenge equips nameless harvest workers to reach resistant people groups fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously and consistently as Jesus did and as he promised that believers would do (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth. These thousand reports (out of thousands of reports) were received from our workers during approximately the past four to five years.
Since 2018 our trained workers in and around Odisha have planted 1,205 new house churches with over 48,000 new believers through May 2022, reaching 38 previously unreached people groups, including high caste Hindu groups which are among the most resistant and difficult to reach. This is in the region of Orissa (Odisha) State alone, considered the poorest state in India where Fundamentalist Hinduism reigns. Water baptism is illegal. Up in North India our trained harvest workers are seeing similar harvests among the Hindus and Sikhs.
