The Villages at Benguet
The Highland Metropolitan Assembly of God Church (THMAGC) formerly La Trinidad Assembly of God (LTAG) Church is located at Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. The Senior Pastor is Dr. Walter Caput who is also the Superintendent of the AG churches in South Central Cordillera District Council (SCCDC). In October 2009, one of his daughter churches in Baguio suffered a terrible tragedy. The church building was hit by a landslide and 45 church members lost their lives.
On 16 January 2011, two worship services were held at Highland Metropolitan Assembly of God Church. I shared from Luke 9 and Luke 10 about the power and authority to heal. Both congregations were very attentive. It was heartening to see the believers actually checking their bibles to see if I was preaching accurately.

When it came time for healing, I asked Pastor Walter to invite his leaders and church workers to help with the healing. After giving them some instructions like how to lay hands, how to command with eyes opened and how to respond in the event of a demon manifestation, the leaders were ready even though some were apprehensive. Amazingly, more than 30 people responded to the call for healing and came up to the front during the first service. The usual procedure of first confessing and repenting of their sins was implemented. Pastor Walter led them in a prayer of confession and repentance. Then the healing commands were given.

Pastor Walter Commands In His Language
The Healing Begins
Every leader who laid their hands was faithful in repeating the English commands, word for word. Later, Pastor Walter interpreted my commands as many preferred using their own language. Later, he commanded healing all by himself. After the first healing commands, Three young ladies came up the stage to testify of God’s healing power upon their bodies. The other who were waiting for the next series of healing command, testified that they had great improvement in their health conditions. The mountain has moved and the next command was more fruitful. Ten members came up the stage to testify of the disappearance of various pains in their bodies. Those who suffered back pain were especially elated. In this region, many people have to carry heavy loads such as pails of water or bales of crops and so many have back pain and joint pain. More joined those on stage and I could hardly understand all the testimonies made in their own language. However, from time to time, Pastor Walter interpreted some testimonies into English for my benefit.
Those who are healed give glory to Jesus
An interesting occurrence was when four sisters who suffered from back pain did not have enough people to lay hands on them. They came up with a brilliant idea – they formed a healing chain. They stood in a row and each one laid hand on the person in front of her. The last person who laid hand was a leader who had no need for healing. The best part was that all four were healed in the mighty name of Jesus.
Five sisters create a “healing chain”
In the second service, more than 35 people came up for healing. The power of God was there to heal and touch lives again. Those who were healed of all types of infirmity came up the stage to testify to the glory of God. An elderly lady explained that she had chronic headache and neck pain but after the commands, she was completely healed – no more pain! One by one, testimony by testimony, the church was filled with applause and of course, the glory of God. Those with backaches, frozen shoulders, arthritic knees, muscular disorders, migraine headaches and asthma reported of complete reliefs after being ministered. The best part was that from then on the people had received a release of their faith and divine empowerment to heal the sick and preach the Good News. Praise the Lord for this forward-looking church and the vision of her pastor and church leaders.
