“Something interesting happened yesterday. I accidentally hit a rabbit on a gravel road not far from our home–we live out in the country. I’m a bit of a softie about animals and it was a terrible scene. I turned around and checked to see if the rabbit was still alive.
It was still breathing, but blood was bubbling out of its nose. It looked like it had passed a blob of blood out of its rear end. (I’m sorry for being graphic.) I prayed over the rabbit [ministering to it with the Lord’s supernatural power and authority]. Then I wrapped it in a towel and took it home. My husband put it in a carrier. We put it in there to let it rest awhile.
Hours later the rabbit ran out of the carrier and into the woods–completely fine. What a miracle. I realize there are thousands of rabbits in our area and probably millions in the state of Iowa, but I remember what the Lord Jesus said about His sparrows. He’s so loving and good. I don’t know if this sounds silly, but it was really quite a miracle.”
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Luke 12:6-7)
