“Last month we went for an outreach in a nearby village along with a few of our believers. While we were going about ministering from house to house, we saw a young man lying in a bed outside. Our believers asked him about his condition. He said that for the past few years he would bleed when going to the bathroom.
The young man’s name was Chitaranjan. He belonged to a class of high caste Hindus—all of which are very resistant to the gospel.
When he first contracted the disease his father had taken him to see a doctor who prescribed medication for him. But when after a few months there was no change with the bleeding, they were referred to the advanced hospital in the city of Vishakhapatnam. Chitaranjan was admitted and stayed for weeks under the care of a specialist. But again his condition went unchanged. In the same way the family took Chitaranjan to several hospitals in various parts of India. In Bangalore the doctor admitted that he was unable even to diagnose the disease. After spending a huge amount of money for Chitaranjan’s treatment in different parts of India, his condition only worsened.
Finally, Chitaranjan became very weak, unable to walk or even to sit up. Day and night he lay helplessly in bed.
We began ministering to Chitaranjan there at his home, and asked the family to bring him to our home for a visit. He came to our home twice, and we continued ministering to him with supernatural authority and power in the name of our Messiah Jesus. The Lord touched Chitaranjan, and he was wondrously healed. The entire family then believed in Jesus as their only Lord and Savior.

The Elijah Challenge equips nameless harvest workers to reach resistant people groups fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously and consistently as Jesus did and as he promised that believers would do (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth. Since 2018 our trained workers in and around Odisha have planted 1,205 new house churches with over 48,000 new believers through May 2022, reaching 38 previously unreached people groups, including high caste Hindu groups which are among the most resistant and difficult to reach. This is in the region of Orissa (Odisha) State alone, considered the poorest state in India where Fundamentalist Hinduism reigns. Water baptism is illegal. Up in North India our trained harvest workers are seeing similar harvests among the Hindus and Sikhs.
