“Early one morning a Hindu man named Padma Lochan (below) awoke to discover that two of his beloved cows —whom he treated like family—were missing. Quickly Padma rushed to the local sorcerer to ask for help. Inquiring from his spirits, the sorcerer informed Padma that his cows were located five kilometers from his house.
But after Padma searched for them everywhere over a period of ten days, his dear cows were nowhere to be found.
Then he went to the home of one of our Elijah Challenge workers where Padma shared with them about his missing cows. Our workers encouraged him and told him not to worry. They said that they would pray. Along with Padma they prayed to the Lord in the name of Jesus about the lost cows.
After that Padma left. Arriving back home he was surprised to see his two cows already back! He now testifies that Jesus listens to prayer and performs wonders. Padma then accepted Jesus as his only Lord and Savior.”

“A young man named Dhanu Basti was demon-possessed. His father was very distressed seeing his young son so viciously attacked by a demon. He brought a sorcerer to their home to deliver Dhanu from the demon. But despite the animal sacrifice and mantras offered by the sorcerer, the demon did not leave. In the meantime his father came across our Elijah Challenge workers. They came and ministered to Dhanu, rebuking the demon and with authority commanding it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. The demon left and Dhanu was wonderfully set free and restored. He and his family then accepted Jesus Christ.”

“Amar Kumar was also tormented following a demonic attack, and was totally disordered mentally. His family could not understand what was going on with him. His children consulted with a doctor who prescribed medicine for their father, but his condition did not change. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to him with authority in the name of our Messiah Jesus. Amar then was miraculously delivered, with his memory and his mind totally restored. Amar and his family then accepted Jesus Christ.”

“Rita Rani suffered from a debilitating disease in her spine, and was bedridden for a month. Even sitting up in bed was difficult for her. She had already spent a lot of money on medical treatment, but she did not recover. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to her in the wondrous name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and Rita’s spine was miraculously healed. She then believed and accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior.”

“A woman named Sebati Majhi had an infection in her throat causing her to cough frequently. When she coughed a wave of pain would sweep through her entire body. For a long time Sebati was under medication after consulting with a doctor, but it was to no avail. Finally, our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to her in the name of the Lord Jesus. Sebati was then healed of the infection. She then believed and accepted Jesus Christ.”

The Elijah Challenge equips nameless harvest workers to reach resistant people groups fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously and consistently as Jesus did and as he promised that believers would do (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth. Since 2018 our trained workers in and around Odisha have planted 1,205 new house churches with over 48,000 new believers through May 2022, reaching 38 previously unreached people groups, including high caste Hindu groups which are among the most resistant and difficult to reach. This is in the region of Orissa (Odisha) State alone, considered the poorest state in India where Fundamentalist Hinduism reigns. Water baptism is illegal. Up in North India our trained harvest workers are seeing similar harvests among the Hindus and Sikhs.
