Reports: The Elijah Challenge in Brazil
The Elijah Challenge Training Sessions
We began The Elijah Challenge Training before a vibrant crowd of nearly 200 people hosted by a church which has been meeting only for about 5 years or so. These people represented about half the total congregation of the rapidly-growing People’s Baptist Church in Diadema.
At the end of the session we had the believers minister to people with heart conditions. Two of these were young ladies. After the second time of ministry, both girls were both able to run around the hall and back to the front feeling fine. In the photo below you can see the girls running up the left aisle back to the front, one after the other.

Saturday Evening Evangelistic Healing Service
On Saturday night there was an evangelistic healing service following the three training sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning. The Lord’s grace upon the believers of the People’s Baptist Church in Diadema was amazing. Earlier in the service a young brother named Milton came to church. He had just a few days earlier been involved in a motorcycle accident, and the Lord had protected him from serious injury. No bones were broken, and no bruising was visible. But Milton came walking down the aisle of the sanctuary with a noticeable limp.
After the evangelistic message, the trained disciples came forward to minister healing to the infirm to confirm that Jesus indeed had authority to forgive sin and save sinners from condemnation in hell. This was in accordance with Mark 2:10-12 where Jesus healed the paralytic to prove that He had authority to forgive sin.
I assigned two Seminary students to minister healing to Milton who had been in the motorcycle accident. I told them that I wanted to see Milton running.

People with infirmities came streaming to the front to be healed by the Lord. The trained disciples did what they were trained to do and made short work of all kinds of infirmities. Person after person, some with longstanding infirmities, came forward to testify that Jesus had healed them of their infirmities. Some ladies, weeping or eyes glistening, shared how the Lord how touched and relieved them. One woman was suffering from severe glaucoma and had lost so much vision that she was learning Braille. The Lord had restored her eyesight. Another woman with a heart condition testified of being healed by the Lord and accepted Him as Lord and Savior at the end of the meeting. (She is wearing a red top in the photo below.) The two children of our host Pastor Sandro, ten-year-old Mariana who had asthma and twelve-year-old Samuel who was unable to get down on his knees, both testified that they were healed. One man had a very bad knee since he was young. Despite surgery on the knee it was constantly out of joint and he had difficulty climbing stairs. But we saw him jumping up and down on the stage after his testimony.
There were many other testimonies translated for us only briefly from the Portuguese and we could recall only a few.

Pastor’s son Samuel testifies his knees are healed

But now back to Brother Milton who had been involved in a bad motorcycle accident and had been walking with a limp. The two Seminary students had ministered to him with great determination and perseverance, and by the end of the meeting Milton was jumping up and down on the stage and running up and down the aisles to the delight of the crowd!
