Umuarama, State of Parana, Brazil

Umuarama is a pleasant town of about 100,000 residents in the Brazilian state of Parana. Our host was Pastor Waltenir Porto of Bethel Baptist Church, where we had previously taught and ministered in February 2011. (Click here for the report of that event.)
At the first session of The Elijah Challenge Training on a Monday evening, hundreds of believers filled the sanctuary. In the United States, we will seldom if at all see such a crowd on a Monday evening. But such hunger within the Church is not unusual in Brazil where the Lord is moving in a way unlike anywhere else we have been in the world.
Tuesday evening: Pastor Waltenir preparing his congregation for Session II
The Lord was gracious to enable us to teach and train the Baptist believers effectively. At the first two sessions (Monday and Tuesday evening) several people with infirmities testified that the Lord had healed them when believers ministered to them according to what had been taught from the Scriptures. We challenged the believers to use this power and authority for the end time harvest.
