Prophecy FULFILLED: “many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other”

Matthew 24:4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah [or literally, I am anointed],’ and will deceive many.

This is now being fulfilled in the Church today. Many today claim to be “anointed” in a special supernatural way to minister to others.  “The Anointing” Revisited

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Wars and earthquakes around the world are common today.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

Of course this is already is happening to followers of Christ in Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist countries. But what is noteworthy is that it is also beginning to take place in “Christian” countries in the West with Judeo-Christian values. In America today, those on the political left ridicule and actually hate those who follow Christ.

10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,

In America and the West the mainstream culture has already turned away from the faith and its traditional values.

11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

Many false prophets have appeared in America claiming to be “anointed” and have deceived many believers into following them.  Coveting “the Anointing”: Becoming (like) God?

12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

The tolerance that the political left says it has toward everyone including those whose values differ from theirs—called “diversity”—has disappeared. Love has grown cold.

13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

“For many are invited, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14)

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

But the end will not come—the Messiah will not return—until we have completed the Great Commission. There is therefore much work to be done in the remaining time—which is short.

Photo of praying students should be celebrated, so why is it sparking anti-Christian hatred instead?
