“Today is a very special day for the Hindus in India. Despite the incredible advance of knowledge and technology here, superstitious beliefs remain as strong as ever. Today a lavish temple along with the statue of the Hindu god Ram was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The estimated cost of the temple, adored with 42 golden doors, is well over 200 million dollars. It was celebrated with great excitement by Hindus all over India. However, while the government has spent such a huge sum on the temple, there are millions of people in India who can only eat once a day.

The Fundamentalist Hindu government here wants to change the name of India to the Hindu name “Bharat”.

Nevertheless, I see a great revival with many Hindus turning to Jesus Christ all over India. Therefore the upcoming issue for us will be persecution against those like us who are laboring exclusively among the Hindus. We will be targeted. Please pray for our safety as we continue to reach out to the Hindus.”
