Hello and good evening from Zambia! Three weeks ago we had a team of 8 people arrive from Tennessee, “The Volunteer State”!! We partnered with a local church and taught The Elijah Challenge — based on Luke chapters 9 &10.
Jesus gave His disciples POWER & AUTHORITY to heal sickness and cast out demons. After three evenings of learning what the Bible says, we escorted the trainees out to practice in the neighborhood near and around the church. We saw about 12 people healed of various illnesses. The next week the team participated in 3 village clinical outreaches using local doctors, clinical officers and nurses in some remote villages who do not have access to clinics.
The clinic was set up in stations. The team manned the hygiene station with a demonstration on using a Tippy Tap and lessons on handwashing, a prayer station, and the medical station.
At the first clinic while the medical team was examining people some team members were praying and laying hands on the sick who wanted prayers. Janet, an elderly woman from Katubiya Village, was prayed for with a tingling pain throughout her body and was healed. Many (5 – 7) people had back pain issues and all were healed in Jesus’ name! 3-4 had stomach pains and God healed them too! One lady had feet pain and was healed. At least 8 were healed of eye problems and 2 had blind eyes opened.
One elderly blind man came with his stick feeling his way forward. The team ministered by commanding his eyes to be healed. While at the prayer station, a team member was prompted to make some mud and put it on a villager’s eyes. She then led him to a water jug to wash off the mud and he was HEALED!! His eyes were opened so he could see clearly again! On top of this, his toothache was gone = God is GOOD!! He came using a walking stick and left walking with the stick over his shoulder PTL!
Others had pain in their sides or lower back and God healed them. Not 100% were healed but I’ll take 98% ANY day! ha. It’s ALWAYS a good day when God shows UP!!!
It was phenomenal to witness these healings and to know that these wonderful people had a personal encounter with their Creator.
