Extraordinary reports from our harvest workers in India
“Greetings to you in Jesus’ precious name. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Over the past three or four days we had a chance to visit the fields where our Elijah Challenge workers are labouring. It gives us great pleasure to see such tremendous work. Praise God for the great work He is doing through them to reach unreached villages with the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the tiny remote village of Kurludipa a home experienced strange happenings at night. Every night stones would fall from the roof. Unusual noises would be heard from outside the house. The entire village was frightened. When our workers arrived, many of the villagers came and begged them to do something. They couldn’t sleep at night, and their poor children were scared out of their wits. Our workers encouraged them not to worry, saying that “our God is great to do mighty things.” At nighttime they rebuked the afflicting demons with great authority in the name of Jesus Christ. Wonderfully from that night onwards all the demonic manifestations ceased. Around ten families live there and many of them accepted Christ. Our workers have started a house church in Kurludipa.
Little Uday was demonized. In the night he would scream and cry out. A woman sorcerer had put curses on the boy. Uday’s father called another sorcerer to offer a sacrifice for Uday, but there was no result. Then our workers went to their home and ministered to Uday. He was set free from the demon. The family gratefully accepted Christ.
In a village a five-year-old girl had been unable to stand, to walk, or to talk. Our workers went and ministered to the child in the name of Jesus. She stood up and started to walk. The disciples continued going back to the village to minister to her. Now she is able to say “father” and “mother” and a few other words. In the meantime many other villagers approached our workers asking to be healed, and the Lord miraculously healed them. Three families have accepted Christ in that village.
In another village a woman had been suffering from diabetes for a long time. She was so weak she had little strength even to eat rice. She had taken village medicine but was still not well. After our workers ministered to her, she was miraculously healed. After a week there was a day and night difference from her earlier condition. She was able to eat rice and vegetables. Her family accepted Christ, and our workers started a weekly fellowship in a new house church there.

A woman named Purnami Bhoi had been suffering from arthritis in both legs, and unable to walk unassisted. Just doing her daily chores was a painfully difficult challenge for Purnami. For two years she had been able to get around only with the help of a walking stick. After our workers ministered to her in Jesus’ name, she was miraculously healed from the arthritis. She and her family accepted Christ.
