“Thank you so much for your prayer for our children. We believe God is so good to us especially to our precious children. So many children are suffering these days from cough, cold, fever etc as the climate is not favourable especially for small children. But praise God that our children are doing well in health and in study. We are asking children to drink as much as water and also providing lemon water every day.
Our children’s teachers are very happy for our children’s performance. Again they had an unit test on 28th April, they did well. Our children Pradeep, Asim, Deepak and sebika are a good artists. They did very well in school computation, and in crafts they also got first. If we encourage them and give scope they may develop in a very better way.
Two of our girls Sebika and Preccilla are singing well, their voices are so sweet so we think along with Rosy they can sing during our worship. They are enjoying their studies and their day to day curriculum.
Nowadays the climate is very hot, with temperature around 44 Centigrade in Bhawanipatna where it is the highest in Orissa. Our one cooler’s motor has burnt out due to the fluctuation of electricity, within one or two days we will fix it. Please pray for our children that they stay safe during this severe heat.
Now water is a big problem in Orissa. In Bhawanipatna, the town municipality supplies drinking water to thousands of homes as many wells have dried up. But by the grace of God till today we did not have any problem with drinking water.
This week the government holidays will start for children and we are planning to arrange a few programs for our children. The children will learn songs, skits, Bible verses etc.
Today we had a long talk with the children and remembered you all [the US team who visited last January]. They are praying for you along with us. A few older children also conveyed their regards to you.

The newest child to our orphanage is a little girl named Sumitra who used to live outdoors with her Mom and two siblings with sheets as the walls of their “home.” The family accepted Jesus Christ last January when we ministered in Bhawanipatna. We are now building a very simple home for Sumitra’s family so that they will no longer need to live outside. See the photos below.
When Sumitra first joined the other children in the orphanage, she was unable to eat and digest vegetables because her family had been eating rice only. But now she has gotten used to eating her greens!

Thank you dearly for supporting these little ones, dear partners in the gospel. May the Lord someday use them mightily and fruitfully for the gospel of Jesus Christ as they mature to adulthood. We hope to see them through university so that they will become a generation of God-fearing leaders in India. May the Lord provide for this!
