Extraordinary reports from our harvest workers in India
“Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. I am delighted to send you regular reports of what the Lord is doing here through his harvest workers.
Surav Kisan had a bent, crooked leg rendering him unable to walk properly. He and his wife were also very concerned for their only son who was ill with an infection. When our Elijah Challenge workers arrived at their home, his wife cried and begged our workers to help them. They ministered to him through the laying on of their hands. Although at that moment he felt nothing, that night Surav began to feel better. The following day they called our workers to inform them that he was getting better. Our workers returned, ministering to him for a day. His entire body began to sweat, and he was feeling much better. Finally his leg straightened out. His son was also well. His entire family accepted Christ, and a house church started up in his home.
In a village known as Sariguda, a man named Gandadhar had a potentially life-threatening septic infection in his leg due to the neglect of a wound. The doctor prescribed some medication to dry out the wound, but it did not work. Finally the doctor advised an operation. Our Elijah Challenge workers happened to be preaching the gospel in that very same village, going from to house to house. They stopped by at Gangadhar’s home and ministered to him in Jesus’ name. The Lord touched him, and within three days the wound was completely dry. He and his wife believed and accepted Christ.
Raju, living in the village of Santinagar, had a daughter who for a year had suffered from a problem with her menstruation. Most of the time she would be sick and feel very weak. Raju took her to various hospitals for treatment, but her suffering continued. Our Elijah Challenge workers came to their village. They assured Raju and his wife that Jesus would heal her. When they ministered to her, the Lord healed her. Her menstruation reverted back to normal. The family believed and accepted Christ.
For forty days, Rama Sabar had suffered from swelling in his leg. In the beginning he applied medication obtained locally, but since it didn’t work he went to a government hospital. There the doctor prescribed medicine for him. But after a week it became very severe. Hearing about our workers he asked them to visit his home to pray over him. As they were ministering to him, he physically felt the healing power of the Lord in his body. For five days our workers continued to minister to him in his home, and he was healed. He was very thankful to the Lord and to our workers. He then opened up his home for a house church. He asked them, “please continue to come and have prayer here so that the villagers here can also receive the Lord’s blessing.”
In the village of Muliput, both Laaxman Sabar and his wife were afflicted by demons. For three months, among other problems, they had difficulty sleeping. Upon visiting them, our workers were very sad to hear how terrified their little children would be seeing their parents possessed by demons. When our workers ministered to them in Jesus’ name, both of Laaxman and his wife were set free.”
