“Our Lord is so gracious to use us in His vineyard during these Last Days. Although here in India it’s now the rainy season, this year the rainfall is less than usual. And so we are still able to visit our harvest fields. Praise God for the new souls being added to the Kingdom of God almost every single day in our various fields. Please pray for the safety of our Elijah Challenge workers.

In a certain village lived a poor widow. Once a month she would go into town to collect her pension. But when she got home from one particular trip, she found that someone had broken in and robbed her.
She found her door open, and 5000 rupees (about US$72) was missing. This poor widow who survived on her government pension was shocked. She went to the village chief and told him what had happened. He tried to help, but no one knew who had taken the money. After two days she went straight to our Elijah Challenge workers and asked them to pray for her money to be returned. Our workers had never come across such a prayer request, but because of her pleading they agreed to do so. Our workers comforted her, and after that prayed and with authority spoke the word (Luke 7:7) over those who had stolen the money. Later that evening when the widow went outside through her back door, she found 5000 rupees!
Overcome with excitement she ran to our worker’s home looking for him. “It happened because you prayed in Jesus name!” she enthused. She had known nothing about Jesus, but now she believed in Him and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior.

Extraordinary reports from our harvest workers in India
The Elijah Challenge equips harvest workers to reach resistant people groups effectively and fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously as Jesus did (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable and compelling evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth.
A young man had been suffering from seizures from childhood all the way to his college years. With prescription drugs from the doctor his condition was under control, but still on certain days each month a seizure would bring him down. It was very difficult for his studies. He then came across our Elijah Challenge workers. He connected with them and they ministered to him regularly. He has now been healed from the seizures, and has accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Sadly his parents were totally against this, saying that they had sent him to college to study and not become a follower of Christ. They even warned him not to come home to their village. But he is very strong in his faith. He has decided to serve the Lord.
In a village known as Hatibadi, Krishana Chandra Patika was bedridden with a severe case of malaria. Prescription medication did not help at all. His very high temperature stubbornly persisted. But after our Elijah Challenge workers ministered to him, it went down to normal. He was healed instantly, and thanked our Lord Jesus for the miracle.
For two months in the village of Durighati, a man’s condition had taken a turn for the worse—after suffering from sickle cell anemia for several years. He was very weak. From time to time he needed blood transfusions. Despite taking medication for many months and spending a lot of money on treatment, he was not well. Then our workers ministered to him in the name of Jesus, and he was healed. Both he and his wife accepted Christ.
A young man named Hemanta had suffered from neck pain for six months. He was unable to move or bend his neck. After a fall from his motorbike, for some reason he couldn’t move his neck. After a scan and subsequent treatment with drugs in the hospital, there was still no improvement. Then our Elijah Challenge workers ministered to him by laying hands on his neck. At that very moment he felt the Lord’s miraculous healing power in his neck.
Yesterday evening a wonderful deliverance took place near our home. A woman named Bilasa had been demonized for five months. From time to time a demon would possess her. She lived about 35 kms from Bhawanipatna where I and my family live. At that time she was visiting her brother who lives near us.
I was walking home when I received a call from my wife Rosy. She told me that on my way home I would see a young woman who was demonized. Within a few minutes I indeed saw a woman creating a scene on the road, jumping up and down and screaming. There were two or three Christian ladies speaking in tongues with another holding a cross in her hand and beating on the poor woman. I took note, walking past them to return home. But after about a half hour, between ten and twelve people brought her to our home. The demon had not left her. Many Hindus were standing in front of our home. The demon in her was shouting that it will not leave her and will kill her.
I commanded the demon to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. Immediately she collapsed onto the ground and remained unconscious for a few minutes. After that I called out her name, and she responded. The demon had left her. Her mind was not clear, so I asked her husband to take her home and feed her since being demonized she had not eaten properly for a long time. Praise the Lord, in a moment after five months of torment she had been wonderfully delivered in the name of our Lord Jesus. At 10 pm that evening I went and preached the gospel to them in their home. She and her husband accepted our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m expecting a few more will come to Christ soon.
