An amazing service at Plane State Prison

"On July 18, 2010 I preached at the Plane State Jail at the morning service teaching on “What is the Original Message of the Gospel?” I was encouraged by William’s essay to teach about this topic for this is truly the problem with so many Americans. They are a product of a man-centered Gospel. They proclaim the name of Jesus as their Savior, but when compared to the world around them there is no difference for they were never told about their sinful condition. They were told of so many promises that would make life better if they would only come to Jesus, so they come to Jesus with the wrong motive and get the promised trials and tribulation and soon fall away from the faith.

Mark 4:16 And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy. 17 And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away.

They came lacking repentance, without which they cannot be saved.

After the teaching I presented the Law (10 Commandments) teaching God’s righteousness, Rom 3:20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. then the judgment, Heb 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, penalty of sin 1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

And hell...

Rev 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

I told them of the Cross and that Jesus was the perfect sinless sacrifice that was brutally punished and crucified on the Cross for He paid the debt for the sins of many, and that it had pleased God The Father to crush Him for the justice of almighty God was satisfied and accomplished through Jesus on the Cross. Now God could allow them to live because Jesus had paid the debt for the sins of the world. I told them that God commands them to repent of their sins and turn to God.

Acts 20:21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

One woman after another testify: healed, delivered and touched by God at a distance

At this time I went to the Lord in prayer and asked the Father to confirm the Word that I had taught that Jesus is the only way of salvation, and asked Him to grant these miracles to prove to the lost that Jesus is the only Way to the Father. Mary and I commanded at a distance in Jesus' name for many to be healed and demons to flee, according to the pattern of Jesus in Luke 7.

After that I asked for those to testify of their healings and there were so many that kept raising their hands that it was overwhelming.

To name a few, there was a woman that told that her pinky finger was healed for she was not able to have full motion before. Several testified that the desire of drug addiction had left them. Several had said that their minds were set free of oppression from evil deception. Others had felt the power of God come upon them and had encouraged them to be bold witnesses and to walk closely with the Lord. Several testified of depression leaving them.

The service was supposed to end at 10:00 AM, but the guards weren’t coming so following the testimonies the women were lining up from the front all the way to the back for Mary and I to pray over. Many had told us that they wanted to repent and walk closely with Jesus.

We prayed over many and encouraged them to follow through by truly repenting from their sins and committing their lives to Jesus by reading the Bible daily and obeying what the Word says. This was the second church service I have ever preached and it was amazing to see the Lord could use someone like us in a way I had never dreamed of. I tell people about the encounters in which the Lord has used me in the past. I pray that the Lord will raise up more workers for His harvest.

So I end this testimony by saying thank you Lord Jesus for this opportunity to serve you!"
