Chris
Villasana is a young Texan who attended The Elijah Challenge
Training at Braeswood Assembly of God in Houston in April 2007. The
following is a report from Chris while he and a team of street
preachers were ministering in Chicago in September
2008:
"… So
many healings have taken place. There have been many healings
big and small, but I will give you the highlights.
When we first arrived in the Chicago area we met up with Jonathan
who we met through you at the Elijah Challenge training for "Church
under the Bridge" in Houston.
After
doing evangelism in the streets of the Chicago area for a few
days
we came into contact with a home church group where
we were invited to go that Monday. When we arrived we met all of
the men. One of them (the leader of the group) told us about how
he had suffered from cancer and had beaten it. However, the aftermath
of the cancer left him with missing and weak veins in his leg.
He had also broken his femur bone and rods were holding it together.
We (me and the other two team members of Taking It to the Streets)
all looked at one another and jumped up and yelled to everyone
in the house, "everyone join us, let’s get him healed!"
And
in the name of Jesus we began to command the veins in his leg
to be
restored, for his limping leg to be healed and for the
bones to be completely healed. Everyone in this house (about ten
other people) joined in with us in exercise authority in Jesus’ name.
When we stopped, nothing had happened; there was no improvement
at all, and the pain he felt did not lessen. He still had a limp,
but that didn't discourage us! So we told everyone "let’s
go at it again!"
We began commanding everything to be healed again. The pain began
moving around in his body from his leg to his lower back in different
areas. Then everything was healed! Everyone was so pumped up and
everyone began asking us to lay hands on them or pray for them
about all different sorts of issues.
Later
at a Bible study, a young homosexual man told us about a burning
sensation
that was in his leg. He had heard about how we
had laid hands on people in Jesus’ name and they were healed.
So he asked us to lay hands on him. After we commanded the burning
sensation to leave in Jesus’ name, he was healed. We witnessed
to him and told him how God loved him so much that he would personally
touch his small ailment and heal him; and that God also confirmed
the things that we were saying through this miraculous sign.
A
man who had seen the things that we were doing brought us to
his friend’s house for the man to be healed. The young man
had a degenerative muscle disease. He was confined to a wheel chair
and could hardly move his neck. God touched one of our sister missionaries
with much compassion and she began to weep. Another missionary
had a vision about Jesus standing right by the young man. The father
of the young man also suffered, but from pain in his wrists and
shoulders. We still had absolute faith, even though we didn't know
why our young friend did not get healed immediately as we thought
he would. Now the father could lift his hands only to a "T" shape
and could not fully lift his arms above his head. This affected
him mainly because he worked at a manual labor job. As we laid
hands on his wrists and began commanding the arthritis to leave,
his wrists were completely healed. As we commanded his shoulders
to be healed, one was completely healed and the other was mostly
healed---to the extent that he could clap his hands above his head.
The Lord is so wonderful, and cares for each and every one of us
deeply!
Before we left for Chicago we were teaching The Elijah Challenge
to the disciples back in Texas. We had just finished teaching
a major section. Now there was a young girl named Laurin whom
the Lord had healed earlier. She had had severe tendonitis whereby
her knees had very few tendons making her knee caps almost detachable.
They would swell when she used them too much. We had laid hands
on her in Jesus’ name, and the tendons actually grew back
and attached to her knees, giving them strength. There was no
more swelling after that. We had also broken fevers and viral
infections in her body in the name of Jesus. She had also suffered
from internal bleeding and she was completely healed of that
as well. As we were teaching The Elijah Challenge to the disciples
in Texas, Laurin called and she was crying over the telephone.
She had just accidentally poured 200 degree water on her hand
at a coffee shop where she was working. Laurin quickly drove
to where we were doing The Elijah Challenge Training. We had
our sister missionaries lay hands on her burned hand and command
the pain to leave in Jesus' name, and for the hand to be healed.
Laurin’s hand was immediately healed. She stopped crying
and, very excited, she joined our Elijah Challenge Training class.
All this had happened when we were still in Texas and before
we came to Chicago.
After
we arrived in Chicago and were ministering, Laurin called us
on the telephone.
She told us that she was at a family gathering
where there were some thirty-odd family members and friends. Her
grandfather (who has been in ministry as a pastor his whole life)
was complaining of heart pain due to a surgical operation that
had had complications. When Laurin heard what her grandfather said
she stood up in front of everyone and prayed. "Lord, thank
you for what you are about to do, and that you use this miracle
for Your glory."
Then
she laid her hands on her grandfather’s heart, commanded
the heart to be healed in Jesus' name. The pain left and he was
immediately healed. The whole family was astounded. Her grandparents
were very convicted---in all of their years of ministry they had
never seen any thing like that in the church. Many of her friends
just stared at her for the rest of the evening. A very dramatic
miracle happened through sweet timid Laurin.

Praise God! Miracles are happening in the streets! People are
repenting and giving their lives to Jesus!"
