Juiz de Fora is located in Minas Gerais, a state in Brazil --- the largest country in South America in terms of area, population, and economy. It has the fifth largest population in the world.

Shining Morningstar Baptist Church is in the city of Juiz de Fora located at the foot of a mountain range in the state of Minas Gerais. Every Wednesday evening between 800 and 900 people gather there to pray and seek God's face. Those people represent a significant fraction of the total congregation.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting

After three Basic Training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, we held an evangelistic healing service in place of the weekly prayer meeting on Wednesday evening. I first preached from John 14:6 to the crowd. Then we prayed and asked the Lord to prove that Jesus was in fact the ONLY WAY to the Father by healing the sick miraculously through the trained disciples. Very many people were healed---I would estimate nearly fifty---and testified from the stage one after another. Some of the testimonies were quite powerful, including eyesight being restored and heart conditions disappearing. Some wept as they testified.

Ministering to people with heart conditions

Thursday morning at the final Basic Training session, I had people who had heart conditions come forward to be prayed over. Every one of them who had felt symptoms of their heart condition when they came forward reported that their symptoms had disappeared after the disciples laid hands on them. One sister at the front knew a lady who was not present but had a heart condition. She called her up on her mobile phone and directed the microphone of the phone toward us as we were rebuking the various heart conditions and commanding them to be healed in Jesus' name. In this way, she also could be ministered to for her heart condition at a distance.

The lady then reported to us, over the mobile phone from the other end, that her symptoms had disappeared and that she was feeling fine. It appears that the Lord is using this kind of healing at a distance more and more frequently. This kind of ministry was performed by Jesus in Luke 7, and so it is scriptural that His disciples also do it in accordance with John 14:12.

On Thursday evening we held another evangelistic healing service, and the Lord was faithful. Although I could not understand the testimonies of healing spoken in Portuguese, my interpreter told me that the testimonies were even more powerful than the ones the night before when scores of people testified of being healed as the gospel was preached at the big Baptist prayer service.

The Senior Pastor of Morningstar Baptist, Brother Gilmar Gabero, is going to start sending teams from home to home to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick after the Training is over. May the Lord raise up more Baptist churches like this one. My host Brother Djalma, who is the Mission Pastor, is talking about bringing me back in the future to train all the pastors and leaders in a big city-wide event. That should have impact on this city.

"Peace be with you. The signs are following us as we preach the gospel to unreached people, and even at the believers’ gathering healing is happening!!!

As you experienced at Juiz de Fora during the Basic Training while you were here, dozens of people were healed even though we could not bring many unbelievers to the meetings. During those days I have testimonies from people who were healed of serious injuries to their backs; of headaches; of hands that could not open up and were healed. A person with a blood spot in his eyes, the blood spot was gone; people with fast heart beat, now their heart rate is normal; people with breathing problems now are OK…and many other healings as well.

The following week after your Training we, (eight of the disciples trained) traveled to the distant state Espírito Santo for an evangelistic encounter. Dozens of people were healed of headaches and small tumors disappeared. More than twenty people were delivered from demons and many were baptized in the Holy Spirit.

This past weekend (August 13-15) we had another evangelistic encounter, and we saw the same things happening by the hands of many of the trained disciples. There we experienced healing and deliverance in a greater measure, and people were delivered again.

We are expecting your coming next year again for the Basic Training. We and some other pastors are planning to train others what you taught us this year.

It works, praise God. All are true, and what is happening is more than I and others can tell...or remember."

I'm using the authority to heal the sick! I ministered healing in my school, and a girl
was healed, almost cured, was not entirely free because he was ashamed to be
ministered to again. But the other girl in my school had been unable to kneel. And she was able to kneel in the church, and then said he could not have done it before because she felt so much pain and always fainted because of it.

So I used the authority to heal and she was cured and did not say anything until now. Glory to God. So when we left the church we ministered at a distance to her mother [as Jesus did in Luke 7]. She was improved and in a week completely healed. I taught her how to use the authority to heal and she herself ministered to her mother.
