On January 1, 2009 Training Center Director Pastor Joshua Gowda reported:
"At Kumri village in Shajanpur, Uttar Pradesh, 24 believers have been trained to reach 18 nearby unreached villages with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now they have a powerful weapon to heal the sick [to confirm the truth of the gospel to the lost]. All 24 disciples are ready to go and reach the nearby villages."
Church services and the Elijah Challenge Basic Training were conducted under a tree in the village. When Pastor Rajesh Mashi rang the "bell," all the believers in the village came together.
