Pastor Joshua wrote on December 21, 2007:
"Gospel and Feeding Event and successful response! Many pastors came to know about it as The Elijah Challenge testimony spreads all over North India, we praise God! Saveral pastors called on the phone and asked me about a Feeding Event, the need is great we have been praying about it at least we need to conduct two Feeding Events in a month and to start two new churches every month and to appoint two pastors. All the pastors must go through The Elijah Challenge Training Center India as well as thousands of believers are to be trained each year."
These college students are from Northeast India (Manipur/Mizoram /Nagaland/Assam) and all are from Presbyterian and Baptist Church backgrounds. Pastor Joshua invited them to attend the TEC Training Seminar. They all came and were trained. Afterwards they were all very happy and were fully ready to share the Gospel and heal the sick.
Pastor Joshua went to the village of Chilla which is quite far away from The Elijah Challenge Training Centre. For these believers to come to our Centre to be trained, the travel expenses would be high. So these brothers and sisters came together for the TEC Training in a pastor’s home. Praise the Lord---because of HIS grace and mercy, we are training hundreds of believers every month.
Pastor Joshua Gowda wrote on January 25, 2008:
"This month we have successfully trained more than a hundred believers. In the month of March we will be baptizing hundreds of new converts. During this month of January we are supposed to baptize them but here the weather is too cold. Many have to be baptized. But we have a difficult challenge before us to raise up full-time workers who will be continuously doing work among these new believers.
Praise the Lord for the The Elijah Challenge. As believers are trained, we make sure that he or she shares the Gospel and then heals the sick. Because of this successful method in North India, many souls are getting saved every day. Also the The Elijah Challenge Feeding Events in North India are spreading so fast……
We do not have many full-time workers, which I feel is the real need. Please pray that we may able to send full-time laborers to make these new believers to know the word of God and to be faithful to God."
