In May 2007 The Elijah Challenge was taught in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Servants of God who were trained in Meerut are now reaching a big village called Sijarsi. There are proclaiming the Kingdom of God, healing the sick, and feeding the poor. Below is the initial report along with photos. Finally, the ministry of compassion is merging with the ministry of power to reach the lost---just as Jesus did.
"Greetings from Sijarsi!
Sijarsi is a totally unreached village. Prayerfully we entered this village and used Elijah Challenge methods and we saw a tremendous response: people are healed and received Jesus Christ as their Savior. Our fulltime co-worker, the one who works at the village, is seen some of the pictures below. We were involved in training co-workers.
Sijarsi is a quiet big village; many small children can be seen in one of the pictures---some children are worshiping Jesus.
First of all, we are reaching five hundred people in this village. We are following your instructions and the methods of The Elijah Challenge. In the days to come we want to see this whole community changed for Christ. Please continue to uphold us in your prayers."
