Akhsrah was from a Hindu Telugu family. When the demon came on her, she would also go blind, deaf and dumb in the evenings.
At first her distraught mother took Akhsrah to the hospital where the doctor prescribed medicine for what he thought was a mental problem. But the teen’s behavior went unchanged. So in desperation her mother took her to see a sorcerer who required a huge fee to treat her. But Akhsrah’s mother, who worked as a hotel cook, couldn’t afford the payment. She could only pay the sorcerer with bananas and coconuts. Services from other sorcerers she consulted also were also totally beyond her reach. She was very upset with no idea where she could find help for her daughter.
One of our believers happened to live on the same street as Akhsrah’s family, and shared with them about our ministry with The Elijah Challenge. Akhsrah was brought to our home. With supernatural authority in the name of our Messiah Jesus, we rebuked the demon and commanded it to come out of her. It came out of her, and Akhsrah was wonderfully delivered and set free.
Along with her grateful and relieved mother, Akhsrah accepted Jesus Christ.
