Leader of orthodox Hindu group baptized after demon-possessed daughter was set free
Three years ago, his daughter was delivered from severe demonization in the name of the Messiah Jesus. But due to extreme pressure and disapproval from the dominant Hindu culture, he could not accept Jesus Christ. Finally, however, he believed in Jesus and was baptized in water along with his daughter. Baptism and “forced” conversion to Christianity are illegal in the Fundamentalist Hindu state in India where he lives.

Young boy had sickle cell anemia for five years which defied all medical treatment
Bibek (below with his mother) had already undergone all the available treatments—including ayurvedic, allopathic and homeopathic—but all to no avail. His parents had spent so much for his treatments, but totally in vain. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to the boy with supernatural authority and power in the wondrous name of the Messiah Jesus. Bibek was wonderfully and miraculously healed. He and his very grateful and relieved parents all accepted Jesus Christ.

Various hospitals unable to treat Hindu woman’s little boy suffering from pneumonia
Anita had taken her toddler (below) to the village hospital where he was prescribed medicine. However, the little boy’s pneumonia persisted. She and her husband then took him to another hospital. They had wanted to take him to a more advanced private hospital, but lacking the financial ability they were very frustrated and upset. In the meantime, they came into contact with our Elijah Challenge workers and requested prayer for their son. They then ministered to the boy with authority and power in the name of the Messiah Jesus. To the indescribable relief of his parents, he was wondrously healed. After that the family believed and put their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Hospital was unable to help Hindu woman with severe typhoid fever
Suchita Tappo returned home from the hospital very physically weak. Our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to her in Jesus’ name over a period of three days. After that Suchita recovered and was miraculously healed. She then believed and accepted Jesus as her only Lord and Savior.
Hindu woman’s severe back pain kept her from working regularly
For seven months Sabitri Lakra suffered. She had already consulted her doctor who had put her under medication, but with no results. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came to ministered to her with power and authority in the wondrous name of Jesus. Sabitri was miraculously healed, and accepted Jesus Christ.

For a long time Hindu woman was mostly bedridden due to stomach infection
The stomach pain was so severe that Namkita Bag had difficulty eating. Most of the time she would be in bed. She had already consulted with a doctor specializing in ayurvedic medicine, but the infection remained. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to her with power and authority in the name of the Messiah Jesus. Namkita was then miraculously healed. She then accepted Jesus Christ.

The Elijah Challenge equips nameless harvest workers to reach resistant people groups fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously and consistently as Jesus did and as he promised that believers would do (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth. Since 2018 our trained workers in and around Odisha have planted over 2,165 new house churches with over 72,000 new believers as of October 2025, reaching 50 previously unreached people groups, including high caste Hindu groups which are among the most resistant and difficult to reach. This is in the region of Orissa (Odisha) State alone, considered the poorest state in India where Fundamentalist Hinduism reigns. Conversion to Christianity and water baptism are illegal. Up in North India our trained harvest workers are seeing similar harvests among the Hindus and Sikhs.
