While there is little problem in states like Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland and Meghalaya where the population of Christians is substantial, the situation in unreached, Fundamentalist Hindu-dominated states like Orissa where our workers proclaim the kingdom of God cannot contrast more sharply. Here water baptism is ILLEGAL.
Despite the very unfavorable situation here, we continue to receive wonderful reports from our harvest workers on the field. Thank the Lord for His wondrous grace!”

For seven months Hindu man suffered from mental disease
His name is Sunil (above & below). His parents had already taken him to the hospital where he was treated with prescribed medication. But no relief was in store for Sunil. His parents then took him to see an ayurvedic doctor who treated him with different medication. That, however, also proved ineffective. Then our Elijah Challenge workers were called to minister to him. In Jesus’ name they commanded his mind to be restored, and within a few days his mind was normal again. After that Sunil and his family accepted Jesus Christ.

Hindu man suffered frequent demonic attacks over seven years
Whenever the attacks began, Sudheer Lakra’s (below) parents would call sorcerers. They would come and using various means involving witchcraft would attempt to deliver him from the demons. A fortune had been spent on sorcerers to help Sudheer, but since they did not have authority over demons, the demons paid no attention to them. Finally, our Elijah Challenge workers came and rebuked the demons harshly, commanding them to come out of him with supernatural authority in the wondrous name of Jesus. Sudheer was then completely delivered from his attackers. Both he and his thankful family then accepted Jesus Christ.

Young Hindu woman with migraine admitted to hospital to no avail
The treatment given to Sukanti Munda (below) at the hospital provided no lasting relief for her since after she was discharged the pain returned. Then our Elijah Challenge workers came and ministered to Sukanti with power and authority in the name of Jesus. She was then miraculously healed and freed from the terrible migraine. Sukanti then believed and accepted Jesus as her Savior.

Hindu woman suffered from very severe back pain for several months
While our harvest workers happened to be ministering in her village, they came across Gurubari (below) and asked about her health. She then shared with them how she had been taking medication for the past few months without any relief from the unbearable back pain. They went to her home and began ministering to her in Jesus’ wondrous name. They continued ministering to her in Jesus’ name for the next three to four days. After that the pain vanished. Gurubari then accepted Jesus Christ.

The Elijah Challenge equips nameless harvest workers to reach resistant people groups fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously and consistently as Jesus did and as he promised that believers would do (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth. These thousand reports (out of thousands of reports) were received from our workers during approximately the past four to five years.
Since 2018 our trained workers in and around Odisha have planted over 2,000 new house churches with over 71,000 new believers as of June 2025, reaching 50 previously unreached people groups, including high caste Hindu groups which are among the most resistant and difficult to reach. This is in the region of Orissa (Odisha) State alone, considered the poorest state in India where Fundamentalist Hinduism reigns. Water baptism is illegal. Up in North India our trained harvest workers are seeing similar harvests among the Hindus and Sikhs.
