Debasis Naik was from an orthodox Hindu family whose father was an officer for a bank. Debasis had an MBA and was preparing for civil service in the state of Odisha. But a few years back one of the vertebrae in his back had been misaligned causing him difficulty when standing up. His body would shake, and he would need help to get up. But an even greater challenge for Debasis was urinating due to a blocked ureter. His doctors were reluctant to perform surgery to remove the blockage as there was the risk of paralysis. And so very reluctantly Debasis had to urinate into an external canister via a catheter attached to his body. He would have to do this for the rest of his life.
Somehow his father heard about our ministry with The Elijah Challenge in Chhattisgarh, and brought Debasis to us in the neighboring state Odisha. We ministered healing to him with supernatural authority and power in the wondrous name of the Messiah Jesus. Afterwards he felt completely different. He went to see his doctor, and after the examination his doctor declared that his urinary system was now functioning normally. After two years of suffering, Debasis was set free from his debilitating urinary problem. His back was also miraculously healed. He accepted Jesus Christ as His only Lord and Savior.
