Received from Elijah Challenge Co-Worker in Orissa, India
April 2020

“Ten-year-old Prachi was the only daughter of her upper-class Brahmin Hindu parents living in Orissa, India. They were originally from Baransi, Uttar Pradesh, and had never heard the name of Jesus Christ. One day while Prachi and other children were playing at a nearby hanging banyan tree, something invisible began to bite her hands and legs. The bite marks were clearly visible.

Unclean spirits—demons—were biting her.”

“Prachi’s parents were of course very concerned and took her to a doctor. But he could not discover any physical reason for the bites. So they took her to a well-known Hindu temple for help. But at the temple the demons attacked her even more furiously. From there they took her to a sorcerer. But alas, the sorcerer was helpless to do anything for little Prachi either.

Then through a Punjabi man her parents heard about us servants of the One True God. In desperation they brought Prachi to us. Even while they were sharing their story with us, we could see actual bite marks appearing on her hands. As we rebuked the demons in the name of Jesus Christ, we saw an immediate change. The bite marks were still appearing, but far less frequently than before.

After that Prachi’s parents took her home. There the demons renewed their attacks on her. They brought their little girl back to us, and we ministered to her again in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We decided to visit them in their home to have a look.

In their home we saw many idols—idols they had faithfully worshipped. We told Prachi’s parents that we could not minister to her if they continued worshipping the idols. It was very difficult for them to accept our condition, but seeing the obvious pain etched on the face of their only child they agreed.

Once again we rebuked the demons in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding them to leave little Prachi. The bite marks stopped appearing, and she was wonderfully set free. Witnessing this Prachi’s parents put their faith in Jesus Christ, and prayed to receive him as their only Lord and Savior.

The demons had bitten Prachi’s hands and legs an astonishing total of 114 times.

All the glory to God!”

Extraordinary reports from our faceless workers in India

.
The Elijah Challenge equips nameless harvest workers to reach resistant people groups fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously and consistently as Jesus did and as he promised that believers would do (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth.

Mission Leaders, if we are available we are able train your Third World harvest workers with The Elijah Challenge—at our own expense.
